How to Play
About the Game
Crazy8 is a fast-paced card game for 2 to 6 players. Match cards and use special actions to disrupt your opponents. The first player to empty their hand wins.
Objective
Be the first player to play every card from your hand.
Game Setup
Shuffle the deck and deal 8 cards to each player. Place one card face up in the center as the discard pile. The remaining cards form the draw pile, then the first turn begins.
Turn Order
Players take turns in sequence around the table. Play continues in the current direction unless a special card changes it.
Playing Cards
Play a card that matches the top discard by color, number, or special action symbol. Wild and Wild Draw 4 cards can be played regardless of the current color.
Drawing Cards
You may draw a card on your turn even if you have a playable card. A drawn card cannot be played immediately: keep it in your hand until your next turn.
Skip Card
The next player loses their turn.
Reverse Card
Reverse the direction of play. The next turn proceeds in the opposite direction.
Draw 2
The next player draws 2 cards and loses their turn, unless they respond with another Draw 2 or Draw 4 Wild card. Stacked draw cards accumulate the penalty.
Crazy8 Wild Card
Choose the next active color. This card can be played at any time, even if you have other playable cards.
Draw 4 Wild
Choose the next active color. The next player draws 4 cards and loses their turn, unless they respond with a Draw 2 matching the current color or another Draw 4 Wild. Stacked draw cards accumulate the penalty.
Reshuffling the Deck
When the draw pile runs out, keep the top discard in place and shuffle all other discarded cards into a new draw pile.
