Sky Joe

About the Game

Sky Joe is a 2-player turn-based card game where lower scores are better. Reveal, replace, and clear cards to keep your score as low as possible. A player loses the match when their accumulated score goes above 50.

Game Setup

Each player starts with 12 cards arranged in a 3 × 4 grid. Two cards are revealed automatically; the remaining cards stay face down.

Turn Actions

Take from the Discard Pile: replace one non-empty card in your grid with the top discarded card.

Draw a Card: use the drawn card to replace one of your cards, or discard it and reveal a face-down card.

Players take turns until one player has revealed all their remaining cards.

Clear Matching Columns

Three identical face-up cards in the same vertical column are automatically cleared. Cleared cards are removed from the grid and do not count toward your score.

Scoring

At the end of the round, add the values of all remaining cards. Lower scores are better, and negative scores are allowed.

The first player to reveal all their remaining cards becomes the Finisher. If their round score is positive and equal to or higher than the opponent’s, their round score is doubled.

Winning the Match

Round scores accumulate across the match. Exactly 50 does not end the match; a player loses when their total goes above 50.
