How to Play
About the Game
Fish Finder is a competitive 1v1 strategy game. Each player controls a 10×10 ocean board and secretly places 3 fish. Each fish has 1 head and 7 body segments.
Objective
Use strategy and deduction to locate your opponent’s fish before they find yours. The first player to catch 2 fish wins.
Placing Your Fish
Place all 3 fish before the battle begins. Fish can face up, down, left, or right, but cannot overlap and must stay completely inside the board. Use Random to arrange them automatically. Confirm your placement and wait for your opponent.
Turn Flow
Players take turns selecting one unexplored tile on the opponent’s board and casting a hook. The result is revealed immediately, then the opponent takes their turn. Each tile can only be explored once.
Fishing Results
Miss: empty water is marked with an X and awards no points. Body Hit: reveals part of a fish and gives clues about its location and direction, but awards no points. Head Hit: catches the entire fish and earns 1 point.
Winning the Match
Catch 2 fish to win immediately. You do not need to discover every body segment: finding the head catches the entire fish.
Tips
Use body hits to work out where the head could be. Remember explored tiles and plan each cast carefully instead of guessing randomly.
